Eastern Colorado
Services for the Developmentally Disabled, Inc. is a community centered board
serving developmentally disabled persons in ten rural counties, covering 17,
514 square miles. Programs include infant/toddler services, adult community
integrated employment, community participation vocational training, sheltered
employment, personal and social skills training, residential services (i.e.,
24 hour, PCA, host homes, Supported Living Services and Follow Along), family
resource services and support services.

The Legal Center
offers all of the federally-mandated Protection and Advocacy Programs for
people with disabilities in Colorado as well as The Client Assistance
Program, the Long-term Care Ombudsman Program and the Legal Assistance
Developer Program for Older People.

MUMS is a National
Parent to Parent Network whose mission is to help parents who have a child
with any disorder, medical condition, mental or emotional disorder or rare

Baby Bear Hugs
(Regional Home Visitation Program) is a Parent to Parent support system for
families, available in nine counties in Eastern Colorado: Cheyenne, Kiowa,
Kit Carson, Lincoln, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, and Yuma. This
universal, voluntary, support program is known as Baby Bear Hugs. The target
population is all expectant mothers/parents, and families with children 0 to
3 years old. We serve families from the 3rd trimester of pregnancy until the
baby is 3 years old, or any time within this time frame.

Inspired by
these words, the Cooperating Ministry of Logan County has made it their
mission to provide a coordinated temporary response to individuals and
families who are currently experiencing short term needs as a result of job
loss, family disruptions, disability, incarcerations, under employment, and
temporary insufficient income. In addition to serve in the capacity of a
traveler's aid, and to respond to other human needs and crises.
Our objective is to
provide temporary services which includes food, clothing, emergency shelter,
rent assistance, utilities, gas and repairs for private vehicles, limited bus
transportation, also to provide medical assistance, loan home health care
equipment and to distribute surplus government commodities.

the Association for Children with Disabilities (ACD) is to provide supportive

Olympics Colorado (SOCO) is to provide year-round sports training and
athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and
adults with developmental disabilities, eight years of age and older, giving
them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate
courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and
friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the
community. The focus of Special Olympics Colorado is to invite all eligible
individuals into a quality sports program that has a basis in their community
and serves to enhance the life of the participant.
